Hello and salaam!
First off (although you may have already guessed this), my name is Miranda. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Integrative Biology (IBIO) and Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior (EEBB) from Michigan State University. Go science! I hope to one day couple work in SciComm while also continuing to study the effects of anthropogenic change on species of conservation concern. There is more info on my research here.
I completed my undergraduate education at Colorado State University (Go Rams!). My degree was in Biological Science, and I made it out of undergrad with double honors (sometimes you gotta toot your own horn). It was in FoCo that I developed an intense love for the outdoors and everything wild.
I was raised a Navy Brat, and have lived all over the US. I started horseback riding lessons when I was 10, and horses remain a really important part of my life. My equine life partner’s name is Tommy, and I potentially like him more than most people…
I love traveling, and I am always in search of my next adventure. So far my international travels have taken me to Canada, Ireland, and Iceland. I hope to add many more places soon!
