My name is Miranda (she/her). I completed my B.Sc in Biology at Colorado State University and my Dual Ph.D. in Integrative Biology and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior at Michigan State University. I am currently completing a Postdoc at the University of Hong Kong.
I aim to couple work in science communication with my research. I am interested in using ‘omics tools to study the effects of anthropogenic change on species of conservation concern, as well as addressing other questions about the evolution of Earth’s incredible biodiversity.
I love traveling and am always on the lookout for my next adventure. So far, my international travels (and some research) have taken me from the USA to Hong Kong (where I currently reside), Japan, Canada, Ireland, and Iceland. I hope to add more places soon!
